Want to have some fun and help people?

Our enthusiastic volunteers are invaluable to the Trust. They help us to raise vital funds and deliver local cancer care services for people and families affected by cancer.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help across the Wessex region (Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands).

You can volunteer on a regular basis, help with one off event or activity, or join our team of occasional helpers. If you would like to find out more about volunteering with Wessex Cancer Trust please phone us on 023 8067 2200 or email volunteer@wessexcancer.org

Volunteer in one of our charity shops

Shop volunteers help to sort and prepare stock for sale, arrange window displays or serve customers. More volunteers are needed to help at our charity shops in Freshwater, Romsey and Weeke. Donations of stock are always welcome too.

Volunteer in one of our cancer support centres

Befriending volunteers provide a caring and listening ear to people dropping into our local cancer support centers. Trained volunteers give advice, information and non-judgemental support to patients and families affected by cancer.

Volunteer in fundraising or events

Fundraising and events volunteers join one of our local fundraising groups, organise their own events, or help out at occasional events in their local area. They also help to raise awareness about the Trust and our local cancer care services.

Other volunteer opportunities

There are many other ways to help either at our head office, driving patients to and from hospital, or helping with stock and leaflet deliveries. Schools, community groups and businesses can also support the Trust, please contact us to find out how.
